A photo I took of Further Seems Forever’s performance at Bamboozle, featuring the original lineup. It’s one thing for something to remind you of when you were 10 years younger, but it’s another to actually feel that way for a small amount of time. That happened while I was watching this band perform the songs that I had listened to a million times at 3:00 AM while sitting at my computer and being a teenager, and putting the lyrics in my away messages and staving off sleep so I could listen to “Wearing Thin” one more time and think about way, way too many things. I couldn’t believe I was actually singing those songs along with the band that wrote them, for the first time, 10 years after those songs first appeared in my life. Amazing. And it was even more perfect that Stef was right next to me, because most of those 3:00 am online conversations were with her, because she was doing the exact same thing I was. And there we were, watching them play those same songs.
